Your job search is evidence too.
See what deserves attention, keep each opportunity in context, and learn from what happens over time.
The search
It gets complicated quickly.
Different opportunities, different résumés, follow-ups, interviews and decisions can quickly blur together.
Losing context
What happened where?
Which résumé did I use? Did I follow this one up? What did I learn from the last conversation?

Your search can tell you something too.
Where have you been aiming? What keeps repeating? What may be worth reconsidering?
Possibility
Maybe the next step is deciding where to aim next.
Not another application for the sake of it. A more deliberate next move.
